Christmas Open House 2013

            Join the Henry County Historical Society in celebrating Christmas during their open house December 14-15, 2013.  The Dr. Bloomfield House, 229 W. Clinton St. in Napoleon, will be filled with “Holiday Harmonies”, showcasing a beautiful selection of antique musical instruments, in addition to the stunning Victorian Christmas trees and décor.  Enjoy the sights and sounds of a time gone by along with refreshments.

            New this year will be “A Warm Log Cabin Christmas” featuring our decorated log cabin located at the Henry County Fairgrounds.  Take in the scents of cinnamon and pine as period dressed women greet you upon arrival.  The candlelit cabin will be complete with an inviting fire, kerosene lamps, refreshments and warm cider.  Please use the entrance opposite the Lutheran Home drive to enter.

            Joining us again this year will be the downtown churches during the Saturday Candlelight Walking Tour.  Along with the Dr. Bloomfield House, each church will be beautifully decorated for the Christmas season.  Candlelight tour hours for Saturday December 14th are 5-8pm.  Follow the luminaries to your destination!

            Sunday’s open house will feature the Dr. Bloomfield House and the log cabin.  Hours are 1-4pm.
