2013 Christmas Video

Christmas Open House 2013

The event may be over, but you can see a video of the decorated house that was made by students from Napoleon High School. (Below)

The Henry County Historical Society celebrated Christmas during their open house December 14-15, 2013.  The Dr. Bloomfield House, 229 W. Clinton St. in Napoleon, was filled with “Holiday Harmonies”, showcasing a beautiful selection of antique musical instruments, in addition to the stunning Victorian Christmas trees and décor.  Enjoy the sights and sounds of a time gone by:

New in 2013 was “A Warm Log Cabin Christmas” featuring our decorated log cabin located at the Henry County Fairgrounds.  Visitors took in the scents of cinnamon and pine as period dressed women greeted them upon arrival.  The candlelit cabin was warmed by an inviting fire, and lighted by kerosene lamps. Refreshments and warm cider were offered to all.

Joining us again in 2013 were the downtown churches during the Saturday Candlelight Walking Tour. Along with the Dr. Bloomfield House, each church was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season.  Candlelight tour hours for Saturday December 14th were 5-8pm. As a special touch, luminaries lighted the way!

Sunday’s open house featured the Dr. Bloomfield House and the log cabin.  Hours were 1-4pm.
