2018 Bloomfield Christmas Open House

Saturday, December 8, 2018

It’s going to be a White Christmas at the Henry County Historical Society’s Christmas open house coming up at both the Dr. John Bloomfield Home Museum and Nathaniel Hartman Log Home on December 8: 2:00-7:00 and December 9: 1:00-4:00.

The Nathaniel Hartman Log Home will focus on life during the mid 1800s inside a tavern on the Miami Erie Canal and will feature a fresh cut Christmas tree with period decor, food, drinks, and entertainment with Tyler Burg performing throughout the day on Saturday. This home will also feature period reenactors and a roaring fire in the hearth.

The Dr. Bloomfield Home Museum will once again dazzle guests with the best in vintage and modern decor while giving a nod to the bygone Victorian Era. The Bloomfield’s will feature a beautiful white, gold, and silver theme, and this will be the final opportunity to view the WWI collection on display for the 100th anniversary. Guests are welcome to sample treats in the beautiful dining room while viewing the recently donated and highly impressive Harrison paintings.

The Hartman Home is located at the Henry County Fairgrounds and the Bloomfield Home in downtown Napoleon across from the Napoleon Public Library. Both Museum sites are free to all ages. The Henry County Historical Society hopes the simplicity of the Hartman Log Home, mixed with the splendor of the Bloomfield Home will inspire and delight all who attend.
